Yves Klein
3 Yves Klein monochromes are being made presently for Dilecta Editions and Yves Klein Archives in Paris.
Its been quite something to work on these pieces. Monochromes are a lot more difficult to master than meets the eye.

Installation of new printing press, “Champagne”.
The studio is all up in arms as a 'new' press joins the fleet. A 1892 model by Voirin. A press masterly renovated by the knowhow of Mr. Gilles Gaillard who found it in the city of Reims. The press used to make trial proofs for champagne labels.
'Champagne' will replace 'Fautrier'.
The two beasts, 'Champagne' and 'Fautrier' cross paths.
'Champagne' finally snapped back together, and close to being ready to go.
The press has settled in its new location.
Camille pulls the first image ever at our place on the press: a mezzotint on litho stone by Brecht Evens. Under the gaze of legendary press mechanic and engineer, Louis Richebé, stopping by to inspect the new animal.
'Fautrier' is moved to the front space, and is in action with Zélie and Camille on a Blaise Drummond litho stone. This press (a 1910 model) was acquired in 1980. It was French master Jean Fautrier's personal press, which he had set up in his garage on his property at Châtenay-Malabry, a south Paris suburb. The new owners were happy to have it removed.
Jean-Michel Othoniel
A tense moment with many onlookers, as Julien Torhy pulls through the press the first image ever in color by Jean-Michel Othoniel on gold leaf covered canvas.

Jacques Roubaud
Jacques Roubaud reading Friday September 13 during poetry evening, in partnership with Double Change.
It probably will remain an evening no one will forget. Roubaud was unbelievable both in quality of text and his delivery. The city of Paris enjoyed that day a general subway and bus strike. Roubaud, not finding a cab, walked at 87 years old from his apartment, Place de Clichy to us, Place de la Bastille. That evening we had a crowd of strictly pedestrians; it was however a great turnout.
Zoe Skoulding
Zoe Scoulding reads her texts to open up the Woolworth/Double Change evening.
She was brilliant and had her translator to give the rendering in French.

There are several drypoint etchings made by Lee Ufan for this project. This is the largest one being inked up on copper which will be 1M60 x 1M.
Inking of the huge scroll.
Hand wiping once ink penetrated Lee Ufan's marks.
The final wipe down to a mirror effect.
In order to print such an unreasonably long etching plate, we must adapt our press to its size. François Baudequin, in addition to being one of France's top etchers, he's also an excellent pirogue builder. He puts his mastery to work to conceive a 6 meter plywood press bed capable of passing the Lee Ufan.
Here, he's brushing the glue with Justine Joly to apply second layer of plywood.
Construction of the press bed will necessitate three weeks.
