Frédérique Loutz
Frédérique Loutz has returned to up the ante and confront a large format in color.
She tries to take advantage of lessons learned from previous images in 2020.
A larger size brings its lot of challenge and questioning.
Before starting the new piece, she finishes pastel work on each proof of Tulipes that were never completed.
An edition of 20, first printed in multi-color lithography, then finished on each proof by hand.
Brecht Evens
Brecht Evens is spending quite some time with us. A shot of him with the tech team who are trying to keep up with him.
Brecht Evens shows printer Julien Torhy and assistant Elsa Dupont some ideas needed to be corrected.
The artist in full swing on new compositions.
He is making new images for his future book which will be scanned and integrated into the scenario.
Once we see what we have in terms of images, we'll publish a set for sale before the trade edition book published by Actes Sud comes out.
Farhad Ostovani
Longtime customer, Farhad Ostovani, is back to pose his leaf composition on stone.
The Iranian painter needs several copies of his leaves and branches on specific Japanese papers for a collage project he will begin soon in his atelier.
He has used the printed matter of his work before to make unique pieces, playing with repetition of forms in collage.
Stéphane Pencréac'h
A stop over at the Bastille to test new ideas on copies of future book extravaganza, Le pouvoir.
Printing has advanced well, but production is still far from finishing line.
'Madame'
A local private cultural cultural club has commissioned street artist 'Madame' to produce an original litho.
Sales from print will support their action in the neighborhood.
The artist collages on each print tears in red.
The neighborhood project is to ask a street artist to occupy this wall over the optician's shop, a block away from our studio.. The mural was finished yesterday and the two lithographers, responsible for editioning her piece, pose under the fresh wall.
A quarterly project of 4 artists a year.
Janvier 2021
Pierre Mabille
A smiling artist finished signing a set of 8 lithographs we unearthed during fist lockdown that had been editioned in 2002 and forgot about. The project Ondée now sees the light of day, and has its world premiere in current solo show at his gallery Jean Fournier in Paris.
Mïrka Lugosi
Master drawer Mïrka Lugosi finished signing her yearlong piece, Paysage avec une soucoupe. A long process.
Winter has arrived in full force.
Peter Soriano
Artist peeks at the camera.
Much concentration and process goes into Soriano's new ambitions.
6 or 7 new compositions have begun for an ETA early Spring.
Both drawing on mylar,
and on stone.
Family portrait. Tech team with artist.
How to make litho ink flow onto stone in twelve steps.
Catherine Viollet
We haven't worked with Catherine Viollet since the early 90's.
But she has come back at us with enough of a daunting task to make up for those lost years. A 4 x 4 meter frottage to print on 3 separate long sheets.
